It is almost a cliche to suggest that many people in
supervisory or management positions around the country got their jobs by
being very good at what they do. Management is a completely different
set of skills which requires people to get things done through others.
However, very few have received any formal input on the skills of
managing people. In response to clients’ requests we have formulated a
comprehensive Management Development Programme which can be delivered in
modular format over a period of a year or so. The advantage of this type
of training is that each module is reviewed at the following session.
Participants have a chance to practise the skills learned and report
back to their colleagues. The learning and behaviour change takes place
over time and if required we can combine the training with in-company
projects and team learning reviews. The transfer of learning is greatly
enhanced.
Who should attend?
Anyone in the company who has to get things done
through other people. They may be called teamleaders, supervisors or
managers but they all need an understanding of the psychology of human
behaviour in order to get the best from a group of people.
Duration
Modules of 2 to 3 days spaced at two monthly
intervals. Usually 15 to 17 days altogether.
This programme is supported by a complete set of work
materials which provide a further resource after the programme ends. As
we cater for groups of up to fifteen participants, this training has
proved to be both cost and time effective for our clients
